Inclusion Melbourne Inc.The Boroondara Volunteer Resource Centre is advertising this role on behalf of Inclusion Melbourne.
Inclusion Melbourne provides support to people with a disability to live fulfilling lives in their local community, and to older care recipients who live at home or in residential aged care. The organisation have a variety of volunteer opportunities for people looking to commit for 12 months or longer in the disability and aged care fields. Examples include: Leisure Buddy, Community Visitor and Tutor.
Leisure Buddy:
- We match you to a buddy and take into account where you both live, and your shared interests.
- Buddies usually catch up for an hour weekly or fortnightly, mainly on the weekend.

Community Visitor:
- Volunteers provide companionship to people in their own home, or in an aged care facility, where a person may have limited opportunities for community connections.
- Catch ups for an hour or two weekly or fortnightly, when mutually convenient.

Classroom Tutor:
- No special qualifications are needed to become a volunteer tutor, just a willingness to support students in class with their learning.
- All volunteer tutors are fully supported in their role by qualified teachers.
- Classes are held from Monday to Friday. Volunteer for one day each week.
