SES Cadets - South Australia
SA State Emergency Service (SES)The State Emergency Service (SES) Cadet Program aims to assist the development of young people in a community service environment, with a view to developing young people as individuals.
Cadets engage in various activities such as using ladders, ropes, radios, map reading and basic first aid.
The SES Cadet Program aims to:
- Provide opportunities for young people to learn and practice theory and skills relevant to the operation of the SES
- Lay a foundation for adult membership in the SES
- Promote individual social development and an attitude of responsibility within the community
Cadets will be supervised and supported by a Cadet Coordinator and a Cadet Supervisor who are SES members. All support personnel are over the age of 18; have undertaken a National Criminal History Records Check within the past three years and are familiar with the Emergency Services Sector Child Protection Policy and related procedures.
Please note: Not all units have a Cadet Program.
