HEALTHY START BREAKFAST CLUB

Liverpool Volunteer Resource Centre
Logo for Liverpool Volunteer Resource Centre

The Healthy Start Breakfast Club provides an average of 400 servings of breakfast, per week, to students who arrive at school early to enjoy a variety of cereal, toast, and fruit. As well as providing a nutritious meal to start their day, it also offers nutrition information and promotes positive relationships between students and their community, parents and school, in turn ensuring the best possible learning environment. An increase in school attendance and on-time arrival of students is another positive outcome of this club.

As a Volunteer you will help supervise children and assist in making breakfast, offer interaction and socialise in a friendly and safe environment and encourage and teach living, social and nutritional skills. We are specifically in need of Volunteers who are willing to come in between 8am and 9am on Mondays, Wednesdays and/or Fridays and read or play quiet games with the children during breakfast time.

You may be available one, two, or all three days. Any time you have to give to support this program will make a huge difference to these children and their education and well-being.

All Volunteers will undergo orientation and receive ongoing support. A current Working with Children Check clearance and agreeance to a National Police Check are mandatory requirements.

Being a Breakfast Club Volunteer is a fun and interactive way to support the children and their local community. We would love you to come and join us for breakfast!

You can not apply for this role as it is no longer available.
