As a Tech Help Volunteer with the Nedlands library you will provide mainly one-on-one technology assistance to the general public. We are looking for an outgoing and enthusiastic person with an interest and experience with technology (desktops, laptops, tablets and mobile devices) and a comfortable command of English. You must have a high level of patience and be able to make people feel welcome and identify their different levels of IT competency.

You will be required for the Tech Help session on Wednesday's from 5:30pm to 7:30pm at the Nedlands Library.

Typical tasks

• Explain and assist in the implementation of a new program or platform
• Develop the understanding of participants to better operate the device they own
• Assist in the discovery of hardware or software
• Advise on the available library resources, such as eBooks, and assist them in their use.
• Encourage participation in a supportive learning environment.
