Open House values its volunteers, because without them we could not do the vital work we do within the community. The work we give volunteers aims to enrich and improve the lives of people who have found themselves disengaged, marginalised and/or disadvantage. This means our volunteers are making a significant difference in the wider community.

Supervised and trained by Open House staff, our event support staff will join the Friends of Open House team, consisting of a group of volunteers and staff who run events on behalf of the organisation. This work can be done at home or at the Open House Offices, as it is a highly flexible arrangement. However, volunteers may need to attend occasional team meetings. Overall this position is needed and the work vital as it underpins everything we do here at Open House.

We understand that each volunteer is unique, with their own set of skills and abilities. We work hard to match each volunteer to a position or activity in which they will thrive and get the most out of their experience. You will help provide the networks and finances for us to nurture and support disengaged, marginalised and/or disadvantage community members. The role offers high flexibility, and would be great for anyone looking to get into event management industry or anyone willing to donate their time for a worthy cause.
