These individuals are in need of social support on week days for up to two hours. The aim is to occupy the residents through recreational activities such as art and any other form of recreation the resident will engage in. There are behavioural issues which need to be managed however this can be discussed between the recreational coordinator, volunteer coordinator and volunteer. We strongly believe that the role of the volunteer will make a difference and increase these peoples quality of life. It will require someone who has a non-judgemental approach, can show empathy, have great enthusiasm and patience.
