Volunteer on recreation activities for children & teens with disability

Interchange Network
Logo for Interchange Network

Interchange agencies offer a range of volunteer-assisted recreational activities and social opportunities for children and young people living with disability.

Volunteers provide support in a range of recreational activities, such as: • school holiday programs • youth or young adult groups • camps • day outings or weekend activities • sibling activities • family activities

The activities provide opportunities for friendships and positive experiences for children with a disability, as well as provide families with a break from their caring role.

Previous experience in caring for a child or young person with a disability is not required. Free training and ongoing support is provided.

Trained and experienced staff attend all activities so you will have support on hand.

Interchange agencies are located throughout Victoria as well as in Adelaide South Australia, and Illawarra NSW.

Volunteering opportunities are available at all of our agencies. To find your closest agency, visit the Interchange website.

All volunteers are subject to a mandatory police check and Working with Children Check (at no cost to the volunteer).
