We are seeking a volunteer who has some woodworking (or handyperson) skills to work in the men’s shed at the Brightwater young disabled facility (for younger adults) living in residential care in Marangaroo. Our woodwork group consists of 3-5 clients, OT and a lifestyle carer and meets every Tuesday afternoon. During the hour our clients work on their own interests to create something meaningful to them eg: clocks, chopping board, photo frame etc. Each clients receives support from the staff member where appropriate, to enable their independence and creativity during the activity.
