Foster Carer for Homeless Cats and Dogs

Second Chance Animal Rescue Inc.
Logo for Second Chance Animal Rescue Inc.

Being a Foster Carer is an incredibly rewarding experience for all involved, and most importantly it allows us to continue to find homes for animals who may be in need of a little extra care. It can be a challenging role and one that will give you the sense of fulfilment in knowing that you have helped a cat or dog by giving them a new start to a better life. Fostering is a fantastic way for you to enjoy a cat or dog’s company if you are not in a position to make a lifetime commitment right now.

Length of stay per animal in foster care can vary but is usually between 2 weeks - 3 months (depending on the animal and it's needs). We have a dedicated team of people that are committed to assisting and supporting our foster carers with any questions/needs they may have regarding their foster animal so you will always have ongoing support day or night.

We have a foster care coordinator who will match your capabilities with the foster animal’s needs. We are always looking for new carers to participate in our gratifying program, if you have any further questions after reading the information below, please email us (email address is below) or call our shelter on 9357 0834.
