Learning Support - Gardening and Cooking ** SINGLETON
EdConnect Australia **Can you spare one hour a week to support the Garden to Table program at Singleton Primary School?
We are seeking reliable, empathetic and caring volunteers who would like to assist students to grow and cook their own food. You will work in partnership with and be supported by the School Co ordinator, EdConnect Liaison Officer and the teachers. You will: • Act as a resource and a guide • Develop a mutually cooperative, supportive relationship with both the school and the students that contribute towards improving confidence, self-esteem, resilience and acquisition of life skills for the students • Serve as a positive role model
Volunteers must have the ability to relate to young people, have patience, empathy and caring nature. You will need to provide 2 personal references from people who have known you at least 2 years. Undertake a candidate interview and complete training.
