24 HOUR TELEPHONE HOTLINE VOLUNTEERS - LIVERPOOL/REMOTE
Liverpool Volunteer Resource CentreA Not For Profit Organisation in the Liverpool area, is seeking skilled Volunteers to support their 24 hour Hotline. This Organisation’s mission is to empower children with Autism and their families, through knowledge and support.
About The Role:
- Answer phone calls during your designated shift (a mobile phone will be provided)
- Main requirement is to be a listening ear
- Chat to and offer unbiased advice, guidance, encouragement and support to the caller
- The types of people calling are diverse – eg. distressed parents, families, Emergency Services
- The Hotline is Australia wide
- Full day training mandatory before commencement of role
- Volunteers are the lifeblood of this Organisation and without them this service would not be possible
Volunteer Requirements:
- It is vital that you are the parent of a child with Autism
- Willingness to be on a rotating 24 hour roster
- Necessary qualities - compassionate, patient and practical
- Ability to keep calm and composed
