The Rover section of Scouts Australia offers opportunities to young adults aged 18-25 who are interested in service to the community, developing their leadership and organisational skills - plus challenging themselves through adventurous activities and making great new friends through a wide range of social activities. Anyone can become a Rover, there's no requirement for previous Scouting experience.

There are also opportunities for Rover Advisers - men and women over the age of 30 who work with a local Rover Unit to provide guidance, support, mentoring and counsel. Previous experience in Scouting, Guiding or other youth organisations is of benefit but not essential. Training is provided through a mix of online, in-service and face-to-face methods.

The Sydney North Region Rover Council is based in Chatswood, but represents local Rover Units from across the North Shore, Northern Districts and Northern Beaches.
