An Adult Learning Centre requires volunteers in a number of roles. You can volunteer as a Committee of Management member and to assist with events and with reception. Committee of Management members are required, particularly those with accounting/financial or educational background or with skills in organisational planning. General committee members are also required. Event Volunteers assist at various events throughout the year - Multicultural Festival (March), Biggest Morning Tea (May), Adult Learners' Week (Sept), Seniors' Festival (Oct), Wellvember (Nov), Social Inclusion Lunch (Dec). Reception Volunteers assist with general administration tasks including answering phones, dealing with clients, photocopying, shredding, laminating. General Maintenance volunteers assist with gardening and basic maintenance repairs. You can also volunteer to distribute flyer & promotional material. The roles are Centrelink approved for eligible participants. Volunteers with limited English or with a disability are welcome to apply. Short term volunteering for events only is available.
