A not for profit organisation in the Revesby area, is seeking Volunteers to join their generous and dedicated team.They are looking for Volunteers to accompany and assist clients on their vehicles for social outings, medical appointments and shopping services.

Duties may include: helping clients in and out of the vehicle, carrying shopping bags, assisting to reach groceries on shelves, pushing wheelchairs and communicating with clients who speak different languages.

This service is vital for these folk to pick up their essential items, get to their doctors’ appointments and pharmacy and do any other shopping. It is also a great chance for them to have social contact and ease their isolation.

Volunteers would need to be kind, patient, trustworthy, reliable and well presented. A time commitment of up to 6 hours per day, one to three days per week, would be necessary. The ability to make a minimum 6 month commitment to the role would be looked upon favourably. Full training, orientation and support are provided for all Volunteers.

Volunteering is also a great opportunity to learn new skills and gain experience.
