We believe we should grow food in an environmentally sustainable way through the cooperation and connection of all community members. Working in a responsible and safe manner under the direction of the Volunteer Coordinator, you would assist us in the general tasks needed to ensure the success of the Garden. This may include watering plants, spreading mulch, filling garden beds, painting and other general duties required. As the site develops this will include the potting and on-going care of seedlings. This role may include the use of hand tools for gardening. Although everyone from our community is welcome, as our volunteers at this stage do not have training to supervise people with intellectual and physical disability, and due to the nature of the work involved, we would prefer volunteers with a disability be accompanied by a carer or support worker.
