CatholicCare, in partnership with Australian Catholic University, is looking for people with a degree qualification or higher, to help tutor & support disadvantaged adult students undertaking tertiary study. The time commitment of Learning Partners is 1.5 contact hours (via Zoom tutorial sessions) with a matched student per week over the course of a 13 week semester. Semester 2, will be conducted distant education, with weekly Zoom Tutorial sessions.
Learning Partners would be required to keep up with the weekly readings required of their student and on-going support will be provided to them by CatholicCare and ACU staff.
Students meet their Learning Partner to discuss issues related to readings, course requirements and assignments on Thursday evenings between 5.30 and 7.00 p.m. at Australian Catholic University.
The next semester commences in the last Thursday of July, and new Learning Partners will be given a thorough induction just prior to commencement.
