Local Arts and Community Events Inc (LACE) helps to organise free art & community events for the City of Bayswater and the surrounding area. It is a Not For Profit run by local people.

As a member of LACE, this role involves creating and organising local arts and community events in and around the Maylands area.

Our main activity is the weekly Maylands Hawker Markets from Saturday 3 December 2016 through to 4th February 2017. The markets are on every Saturday night and volunteers have the opportunity to help out by attending on a regular basis (on a roster with other members). These markets are a community initiative and provide an opportunity for families and locals to get together and enjoy great food.

Volunteers can carry out some of the activities at a time that suits them – as well as signing up to attend the Markets as per an agreed roster.
