Riding for the Disabled Association- Tall TimbersA new Riding for the Disabled venue is opening in Richmond at the University of Western Sydney. Volunteers are sought who want to help with different duties, such as: side walking supporting disabled riders during horse riding sessions, leading horses (if you have a horse background), cleaning leathers, maintain premises, feeding horses. To start, the disabled program runs on Mondays and Fridays, however, horse care volunteers can volunteer on Mon, Wed or Fri. Minimum age is 16 years.
This role is ideally suited to people who are interested in horses that can help riders with a disability and assist with varied activities. You need to be comfortable with horses and an equine background is preferred, but not essential.
