We have a need for qualified volunteers to drive a 22-seater wheelchair accessible bus during school hours, Tuesdays and Thursdays but even a half day commitment would be greatly appreciated. Students with physical disabilities, under the direct supervision of staff, are transported to off-site educational programs e.g. swimming, sport, community access, independence and vocational training; and occasional special events e.g. performances and sporting events. Operation of loading hoist is involved. Benefits: Member of a dedicated team of CoastAbility volunteers. Satisfaction of contributing to access options for young people with special needs to enhance educational, recreational and living skills development.

Programs run between 9am and 2:30pm Monday to Friday during school terms. Current Central Coast schools serviced are Glenvale Narara Campus, Henry Kendall HS Support Unit and occasionally, Gosford East PS Support Unit.

Drivers are given reimbursement towards out-of-pocket personal vehicle fuel costs.
