Special Olympics provides weekly sports training, competition opportunities and lifestyle programs for people with an intellectual disability.

We have 46 clubs across Australia to assist over 7,700 individuals with intellectual disabilities achieve their personal best. We use sport as our vehicle of choice to enable members to achieve and participate as productive and respected members of community.

Each region is run by a board of committed volunteers and several clubs are seeking the assistance of a fundraising coordinator. This is an ongoing position requiring approximately 2 hours per week. Our athletes need your help to raise funds and awareness so they can continue to play sport, stay healthy and experience joy.

You will be well supported and helped along by the current committee however it would be an advantage if you have knowledge of funding opportunities throughout Australia.  A variety of fundraising opportunities will be provided for you to run/develop or you are welcome to implement new ideas. Social media presence is available.

Due to COVID, not all of our clubs are operational but we are seeking to recruit someone as soon as possible to assist when possible and safe to do so.
