Volunteers are required to provide entertainment through music for aged care residents enjoyment, which helps stimulate familiar memories and elevate mood and morale. Volunteers will need to relate well to the aged/disabled and play a musical instrument or sing.

There are various volunteer roles available:

• Form and be part of a choir with weekly practice sessions, or
• Play an instrument for the pleasure of the residents, or
• Sing to residents.

The volunteers will bring pleasure to the aged and have the opportunity to perform for an audience. This would be a great opportunity for dress-rehearsals for concerts given by students or any artist. This role is suitable for youth volunteering.
