Computer, Tablet & Smart Phone Tutor

A skilled and/or experienced mature age volunteer computer tutor is required to assist seniors become more confident in the use of Smart Phones; Internet; Email; Skype; Word Processing and Spread Sheets. Tutoring is on a "one on one" basis. Learners bring their own phones, computers and laptops. A desktop PC is provided at U3A.

The objective is to teach seniors how to be more confident when using a computer and to increase their knowledge in areas such as basic computing skills using the Internet; managing Emails; managing their desktop and Applications. Many of the seniors struggle to attain the confidence to use the many features available on phones and computers. An hour lesson is considered adequate as students need to gain confidence and skills.

Extensive computer experience, knowledge and skills in working with both Apple Products and Personal Computers. A Tutor should be able to advance a student from basic computing to the use of more advanced features such as word processing, confident use of smart phones, using social networking and communication applications such as Skype, Facebook, Photo sharing and SMS and MSS.

A Tutor must have a patient manner, instilling confidence in the student.
