The laundry provides fresh clean blankets and bedding for the animals and is an area which is a vital part of GAWS. Without the support of our volunteers, the quality of life for our shelter animals would not be nearly as high as it is today.

The laundry requirement is consistent every day of the week. We require people to assist on Saturday and Sunday. It can also include picking up and sorting through donated bedding that we receive on a daily basis. It requires loading blankets into the industrial size machines, hanging and drying, the items depending on the weather. It is quite heavy manual work and you are generally working by yourself due to limited space.
