Volunteers of all ages are always sought to work with the volunteer race management team (some work can be strenuous and you must be able to climb a few flights of internal stairs to the race tower). Skills can be easily learnt. Races are held four times a week during the Summer, both on and off the water, and you can be trained to do anything from scribing results, to driving boats (this requires a boat license) and laying marks, but if someone was interested and wanted to join in on a roster on a regular basis we could certainly assist with gaining those skills). Racing also takes place during the Winter and most of our racing is run from the race tower, and new volunteers are very welcome. Outside business hours and short term roles are available. Secondary students and volunteers with limited English are welcome to apply. A Working With Children Check may be necessary depending on the volunteer role.
