    . Excellent interpersonal communications and customer service skills.
    •Computer literacy and ability to operate EFTPOS machines and point-
    of-sale software (training provided).
    •Mobility, ie able to handle uneven floor surfaces and steps in heritage-listed buildings.
    •Willing to participate in on-the-job induction and on-going training.
    •Exercise Occupational Safety and Health responsibility as detailed in the OSH Policy and associated procedures and guidelines.

 Start and end of day unlock and lock-up procedures including placement of signs, activating monitors and digital projectors when required, activating point-of-sale computer, POS software and float, familiarisation with emergency procedures.  Customer service – welcome and interact with visitors by moving through gallery spaces and Courthouse reception areas to share information about current or forthcoming exhibitions, events and site history.  Customer service – answer telephone enquiries and take messages.  Assist people with disabilities gain access to the buildings.  Record and receipt retail sales and other payments, including venue hire, workshops and tours, using EFT devices and POS software.  Assist with guided tours  Assist with cruise ship visits, as required.  Provide administrative support and other duties.  Assist with special events and functions, as required.  Handle emergency evacuation procedures in the absence of senior staff.
