If you have a love of gardening and watching things grow, you may be interested in providing some care and attention to our Children's Forest at Whiteman Park. The Children's Forest is a place where children can come to learn about the importance and beauty of trees and the natural environment and where they can come and watch 'their' forest grow and flourish as they do. This is an exciting project which involves garden maintenance: planting, weeding, light digging, mulching and cleanup. The Children's Forest is a community forest to which youngsters of all ages can belong.
