• Home-based volunteering opportunity

Telelink is a regular on going telephone based group program that is delivered via teleconference. It provides social and peer support, special interest and recreation activities.

We have positions available for volunteers to facilitate discussion groups via telephone in the following topics:

• Greek Social - weekly Monday 10:15am
• Greek Social – weekly Monday 4pm
• Gardening – weekly Monday 4pm
• Men’s Social (Older) – weekly Tuesday 10am
• Men’s Social (Mid age) – weekly Tuesday 10am
• Spanish Social – weekly Tuesday 10:30am
• Music - 1st & 3rd Tuesday 3pm
• Social - weekly Wednesday 9am
• Polish Social – fortnightly Wednesday 3pm
• Book Club – monthly 2nd Thursday 9:30am
• Mandarin Social – monthly 2nd Thursday 10am
• Greek Social - weekly Thursday 10am
• Quiz - weekly Thursday 10:30am
• Social - weekly Thursday 2pm
• Current Affairs - weekly Friday 10:30am

Skills and Requirements

•Clear speaking voice

•High level of interpersonal skills

•Excellent listening and conversation skills

•High level of relevant language other than English for relevant Telelinks

•Ability to encourage, support and keep participants on topic

•Ability to work independently

•Landline or mobile connection
