This organisation which provides important help to the community is seeking reliable, empathetic volunteers with excellent English skills who like to work from home and are willing to make a long term commitment.

This helpline provides support to the families of those affected by drugs. Volunteers with good listening skills required for telephone support to take calls on National helpline. Shifts will be allocated to volunteers in advance to suit availability. Please note that you require access to a landline telephone or modern mobile as calls are diverted to volunteers.

No counselling experience is required, but good listening skills are essential as well as an excellent command of spoken English.

All volunteers are required to be over 23 years old. Training is free, but applicants are charged $30 for a training manual, and volunteers are required to become a member (cost $30, subsidised for pensioners).
