Training is provided when new volunteers starts. Staff member will deliver and direct the new volunteer on their first delivery day (training) and any day required until volunteer feels capable to do runs unsupervised.

Delivering Meals Volunteers who deliver meals work to a 4 week rotating roster agreed to by the Volunteer. Volunteers use their own vehicles to deliver meals and are given a reimbursement for petrol costs. The benefits of volunteering Lismore MOW believes that the use of Volunteers facilitates: -not only a nourishing meal but also provides warmth and social interaction with clients each day; -an opportunity for clients to have a greater connection to the community through their contact with Volunteers; greater community participation in the Lismore LGA; -the ability to provide a more comprehensive range of services; -the opportunity for people to develop new skills.
(These positions are located in Northern N.S.W., about two hours south of Brisbane).
