The Generous and The Grateful is looking for experienced Communcations volunteers to ensure its message is consistent and engaging. The role entails the production and preparation of detailed media reports, press releases, and marketing materials as well as social media and internal communications.
About Us At GG, we connect pre-loved furniture and whitegoods with trauma survivors. This simple act greatly reduces their risk of homelessness and empowers people towards self-determination and a brighter future in the knowledge that they are supported by their community. We collect key household items from kind-hearted donors to help set up a warm, safe home base from which trauma survivors have the power to rebuild their lives. Our recipients include people who have left their homes due to family violence, those seeking asylum, and young adults moving on from foster care and out-of-home care services. The items we supply are those typically too expensive, heavy and complicated for our recipients to source themselves — such as beds, fridges, washing machines, sofas, TVs, chests of drawers, tables, chairs and microwaves.
About The Role Create informative and interesting press releases, newsletters and related marketing materials Prepare detailed media activity reports Plan and manage the design, content and production of all marketing materials Generate new ideas Create communication and marketing material for events and promotions Develop overall communications for the company Incorporate Public Release, Digital and Traditional Marketing efforts Develop and edit communication materials such as newsletters, blogs and similar content to promote the organisation Implement the organisation’s communication plan Respond to communication-related issues in a timely manner Write press releases for local and national media Monitor press releases and social media that relate to the organisations brand Amplify opportunities for positive Public Release. Ensure communications consistency among different stakeholders. Develop, implement and monitor the company’s internal communication strategy Communicate brand values to both internal and external customers and stakeholders
