During these challenging times we need volunteers more than ever, to support isolated people in our community to feel socially connected again. If you’re a ‘people person’ and would like to make a difference to the life of someone who is socially isolated we would love to hear from you!

Annie is seeking a volunteer to share her interests in sewing, making Kombucha, cooking, walking, listening to music and reading. The best suited to support Annie will be positive, outgoing, respectful, thoughtful and non-judgmental, and with an ability to chat on any number of topics. Be ready to creatively reconnect her with the things she enjoys.

Practical communication skills and a willingness to share both home and community-based visits essential. Visits may include going out for a coffee, lunch or cooking up a storm together! Your own vehicle will be required to transport Annie* on outings. Valid drivers license necessary. The skills and confidence to work independently are a must. Induction, ongoing supervision and opportunities for professional development provided.

Participant's name has been altered to maintain her privacy. Please note that during COVID-19 this role will commence over the phone, which will enable you to establish rapport and connection with Annie* and enable her to stay connected to the community. **Participant's name has been altered to maintain her privacy. Interested? For further information, please contact 13 93 75 and quoteTY-E-09.
