As a volunteer you play a vital role in improving the quality of life of an adult with an intellectual disability through ongoing companionship and social inclusion. You will also make an amazing new friend! We are seeking a buddy for Bob who is an engaging, open young man whose interests include art, food, movies, gaming and cooking. Due to COVID-19, you will initially have weekly digital contact with Bob and progress to in person outings sharing interests and outings in the community once this is permitted. No previous experience required. Competencies include a warm and caring attitude as well as empathy, good communication skills and a genuine desire to make a difference. Reliability and a willingness to commit to very regular contact for a minimum of 12 months is a requirement.
