Established in 2013, Mood Active is a small, not for profit association based in Sydney. We provide a free and low cost exercise programs to the support needs of our clients who can choose from a  casual program, 4 week well being workout or more intense support 8 week 1:1 exercise coaching program for people experiencing mild to moderate depression, anxiety and other mood disorders.

Participants are typically referred to us by GP’s, psychologists and community organisations and to date, feedback has been very positive. We are currently expanding our operation into greater Sydney.

Ideally the volunteers position would only be for one class a week but must commit to 6 months with a minimum of 2 week notice. For the right candidate this position offers FREE educational courses (including Mental Health First Aid and Motivational Techniques for Clients).

• Surry Hills (Must be available on Mon - Thu afternoon/ evening)
• Rockdale (Must be available Mon/ Wed/ Thu morning)

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver group fitness training classes to Mood Active participants
• Take each class you commit to on as your very own responsibility
• Contribute to the Mood Active team in your own positive way
• Managing participant attendance and positive moral

What qualifications, skills & experience are essential?

• Cert IV Fitness or equivalent
• First Aid & CPR Certificate
• Indemnity Insurance Certificate
• Police Check
• Work with Children Check
