Fundraising Manager

Over the past twenty-two years, Mahboba’s Promise has adhered to the values of compassion and integrity to empower women and children to make a lasting difference in their own lives. We have established schools, shelters and health clinics across Afghanistan and provide sponsorships for girls’ education, widows, and orphans.
We are looking for a Fundraising Manager to help us raise funds for impactful projects.This newly created role is responsible for identifying fundraising opportunities and developing an action plan. Mahboba's Promise is rapidly going through a period of growth and we are keen to have some fresh ideas, expertise and experience in this space. This role has the potential to progress into a paid position in the future.
We are look for a Fundraising Manager who will:
- Develop a fundraising plan for the organisation
- Draft and present the proposal
- Develop and form alliances with other organisations
- Explore new ideas to support the organisation
- Recruit a team of volunteers who will support with the execution of the plan
Eligibility Criteria. The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience in a fundraising/sales/business development role
- Previous experience working in a NFP environment (preferred but not essential)
- A highly motivated self-starter with a mature and dynamic approach
- Strong ability to work within a team and communicate with various stakeholders
- Understanding, respect and appreciation of other cultures values
- Strong communication skills – verbal & written
