    All SHF volunteer must become members of the Museum before they start work.

We need to resurrect our existing Adwords account to meet the grant criteria and help advertise SHF in Google search results. The aim is to bring more traffic to the SHF website and reach out to potential customers for cruises, new memberships and on-line retailing. A vital aspect of the campaign is to find Keyword combinations which distinguish SHF from our competitors. The major difficulty we face is that Sydney has two maritime museums, one of them very well-resourced with government funds. Much work has already been done to get the project off the ground, with mixed results, so a Project Coordinator is an essential next step.

We would like to hear from you if you would like to help in the following ways: • With the help of other keen volunteers, write Google ad copy which focuses on converting visitors to the website into customers. • Coordinate, monitor, evaluate and improve the effectiveness of our Google ads created by you with our volunteers. • Provide recommendations and initiate strategies for Keyword opportunities, campaign structure targeting of potential markets, display network and other facets of Google paid search advertising. • Monitor and administer our website analytics dashboards and reports with a view to identifying areas where significant improvement can be made. • Analyse past and present Google traffic then work with the SHF marketing team to develop new strategies. • Provide some better understanding of long-call Keywords and geo-targeting. • Provide your input on developing Keyword optimisation. • Audit SHF’s competitors’ advertising strategies and identify new opportunities

Skills you can offer: • One or more years’ experience working on SEM or SEO • A clear understating of how Google Adwords works • Good analytical, organisational, and project management abilities • Experience in website analysis using tools such as Google Analytics and Dashboards • A knowledge of how a not-for-profit organisation works and some experience working with a volunteer workforce would be useful.
