During these challenging times we need volunteers more than ever, to support isolated people in our community to feel socially connected again. If you’re a ‘people person’ and would like to make a difference to the life of someone who is socially isolated we would love to hear from you!

Joan lives in Sunshine West and has an interest in gardening, cooking, listening to the radio and watching TV. Joan would like to be connected with a Greek speaking volunteer who is prepared to provide fortnightly visits at her home to share coffee and conversation.

The best suited to support Joan will be respectful, positive and engaging. You will also have the ability to support Joan to achieve her social goals and creatively reconnect with her interests and passions including sewing. Practical communication skills and the confidence to work independently are a must.

This rewarding role will enable you to make a valuable contribution to your community and the social wellbeing of another person. Induction, ongoing supervision and opportunities for professional development provided.
