The Naracoorte Regional Art Gallery is the oldest regional gallery in South Australia. Housed in a historic Georgian home once owned by a local doctor, and formerly the municipal offices of the Corporation of Naracoorte, the Gallery is now a showcase of traditional and contemporary visual arts.

Opening hours are Wednesday to Friday 10am – 4pm and Saturday and Sunday 10am – 3pm.

Time required

A commitment of between 2.5 – 6 hours at a time is required, however there is no minimum weekly or monthly requirement. - Weekday shifts morning (10am – 1pm) afternoon (1pm – 4pm) - Weekend shifts morning (10am – 12.30pm) afternoon (12.30pm – 3pm) Volunteers are welcome to commit to full days if available

Requirements

Duties and Responsibilities: - Overseeing the gallery during exhibitions - Welcoming and providing information to visitors about current exhibitions - Answering phone enquiries - Taking cash sales from exhibitions and gift shop - Ensuring Covid-19 safe practices are adhered to - Opening and closing the gallery may be required - Volunteers are welcome to work on their own projects when it is quiet * As each organisation provides different levels/types of insurance, volunteers are reminded to check with the organisation as to the type of insurance provided for volunteers (e.g. Volunteer Personal Accident Insurance).
