Goals

• Manage the Bike North digital photo collection using an online digital photo system.
• Liaise with Bike North members to collect photos to submit to the digital photo collection
• Provide advice on suitable photos in the collection for use in Bike North digital communications

Responsibilities

• Act as the administrator of Bike North digital photo collection. This is a Piwigo implementation located at
• Collect photos and upload to Piwigo (Adobe Lightroom can be provided for workflow ease). Photo collection will be via email for small collections or mail in CD/DVD for larger collections.
• Call for archive photos from current and past Bike North members.
• Manage private Piwigo folders for any photos not for public browsing
• Manage public Piwigo folders for photos for public browsing.
• Be a reference person for Bike North members querying how to use the Piwigo system.
• Be the subject matter expert for the Bike North digital photo collection and provide advice on the most suitable photo for communication elements such as web site, news, Facebook, media.

Skills

• Able to act as an administrator to an online photo system. You will need to be able to create folders, upload images, move images, tag images etc.
• Able to save images from email and CD/DVD and load these into Piwigo.
• Able to work with images to crop and resize. This will enable sending images in a ready fashion for use by the communications team. (Note: Piwigo has built in features for public browsers to browse at different resolutions).
• Able to use Adobe Lightroom (optional for ease of use).
• (Desirable) Able to work with Piwigo templates to apply a Bike North brand to Piwigo.

Training Provided

• Induction to Communications Group and Exec members.
• Orientation to the current Bike North Piwigo setup
• Provision of an administration user in Piwigo
• Provision of photo system login

Equipment Requirements

Own personal computer and internet connection. Bike North understands that working with digital photos may be a bandwidth intensive operation and would look to compensate the digital photo coordinator for any large/excess bandwidth they use.
