As a Not for Profit Community Sporting group Townsville Basketball is seeking volunteers to assist us in ensuring that the organisation can continue to deliver a fun and safe environment for our community to enjoy the sport that they love. Like all organisations we have battled to keep the doors open in these tough Covid-19 enforced restrictions and are hoping to reignite a strong volunteer workforce to assist in relieving the financial strain on the organisation as well as the enormous workload burden currently being felt by its employees.

We are seeking to have volunteers supplement the work of it employees and work hand in hand with them to help deliver services to the Townsville Basketball community without having to pass on significant fee increases to its members.

If you have ever been involved in community sport you realise the importance organisations such as ours play in the livelihoods of so many families. We are looking for volunteers that could meet any of the following roles;

• Customer greeting to ensure Covid-19 protocols are maintained
• Food preparation staff for The Furnace Cafe
• Gardening or General Maintenance helpers
• Competition helpers
• Club Coaches, managers or referees for fixtures
