Training & Fitness Lead Coach

About Us:
On My Feet transforms lives. We are a distinctly Australian organisation which uses education and exercise to support those at risk of, or dealing with, homelessness in the community. On My Feet helps these individuals to discover their inner champion by building self-respect, a sense of purpose and ultimately, self-sufficiency.

A Quick Look:
The below duties and responsibilities will be shared with our current Lead Coach. The individual in this role will help to plan, implement and coordinate an engaging six month training and fitness program.

The program aims to improve a group of 10-15 participants of mixed fitness abilities in the following key areas:
• Running distance
• Running speed
• Weight/fat loss
• Strength and conditioning • Overall fitness

The Lead Coach will also:
• Liaise with our partners in health and fitness to coordinate various activities that support the exercise program, i.e. physical health testing
• Communicate and report back to our Walking & Exercise Group Senior Coordinator
• Roster/organise weekly volunteer attendance

Please note that the group training sessions are held every Tuesday and Thursday evening.

The successful candidate will have/be:
• Strong communication skills
• Experience in implementing results-driven training programs
• Experience engaging with stakeholders
• Leadership and motivational skills
• The ability to work well in a team and autonomously
• Reliable and trustworthy
• A passion for helping people affected by homelessness
