During these challenging times we need volunteers more than ever, to support isolated people in our community to feel socially connected again. If you’re a ‘people person’ and would like to make a difference to the life of someone who is socially isolated we would love to hear from you! John* lives in Forest Hill and is looking for someone who shares an interest in other cultures, sociology, bird calls and animals. John is seeking a patient and effective communicator with an ability to support and creatively reconnect him with the things he enjoys.

You'll need practical communication skills and a willingness to share both home and community-based visits, which may include visiting a local café, a library or going for a drive. Your own vehicle will be required to transport John * on outings. Valid Victorian drivers license necessary. The skills and confidence to work independently are a must. Induction, ongoing supervision and opportunities for professional development provided.
