This volunteer role involves 6hrs per week phoning seniors to reduce social isolation. You will work with 10 seniors, to teach them smartphone skills and discuss gardening or the natural environment.

The Grow Together project by grassroots sustainability charity PlantingSeeds uses gardening and nature as a way to make learning smartphones more interesting. The end result is a more environmentally aware, tech savvy and socially connected senior.

This project operates in Western Sydney but training will be delivered remotely over the phone or using screen sharing apps. As well as the 5hrs phoning seniors, you will spend 1hr a week responding to posts on our social network sharing intergenerational knowledge on gardening/nature.
