Since 1986, the Maldon Neighbourhood Centre has provided a place for members of our community to come together to socialise, play, create, and learn. We are a not-for-profit community based organisation that encourages a sense of belonging and community engagement using community development principles.

Volunteer Tasks:

Conduct a simple thermal comfort assessment on houses in Maldon.

Support local households create an Action Plan to improve the thermal comfort of their home/designated room to cope with extreme heat and heat waves.

Provide information to households on heat health, emergency preparedness and likely climate change impacts.

Essential Criteria:

Must be personable and friendly

Able to use resources provided to explain actions to take and provide information to others

Own car and current Drivers License

Must comply with COVID-safe guidelines and restrictions
