The program

Red Cross supports vulnerable migrants in finding employment through our In Work Australia program. In Work Australia focuses on brokering paid internships, matching mentors and mentees, running a job café, English classes and finding ongoing employment opportunities for those who have been impacted by Migration.

The opportunity

This volunteer will work closely alongside our  Project Officer in Mount Gambier to broaden opportunities available to migrants in transition as they look for long term employment. This role will suit someone who has experience working with clients of various levels of English and is passionate to assist them in finding employment. This person will need to have an understanding of some of the barriers facing asylum seekers, refugees and other migrants and how this impacts upon their ability to engage in the workforce.

Supporting people to move from dependence and destitution into a life of independence and fulfilment. Red Cross will ensure you have training, ongoing support and access to other opportunities within the World's largest humanitarian network.
