Family Support Worker - Volunteer
Early Support For ParentsWorking with Early Support you will provide support to families in a community or home setting. Early support works with families with children aged between 0 - 18 years of age. The Volunteer Family Support Worker meets weekly with their family to support families to achieve goals and to build on strengths within the family home.
Early Support for Parents provides full training, extensive support within the role and ongoing training is also offered throughout the year.
We are are a COVID safe organisation with strong practices to keep our volunteers and workers safe and still provide high level support to the families in our service.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- An excellent ability to communicate in a timely and effective manner both internally with program staff and with your allocated family.
- Excellent English language skills in both the written and verbal areas
- Able to successfully complete a Working With Vulnerable Persons Card
- Phone and internet connectivity (this can be claimed for your reasonable use within the volunteer role)
- A vehicle and license is preferred but not essential.
