During these challenging times we need volunteers more than ever, to support isolated people in our community to feel socially connected again. If you’re a ‘people person’ and would like to make a difference to the life of someone who is socially isolated we would love to hear from you!

This role involves sharing phone conversation with individuals requiring social engagement, companionship and conversation. The ideal volunteer for this role will have effective communication skills, an ability to develop rapport and support individuals to achieve their social goals whilst sharing lively conversation!

Conversation may involve discussing a topic or activity of interest such as crossword, trivia or current affairs! The skills and confidence to work independently are a must. Induction, ongoing supervision and opportunities for professional development provided.

The program operates from our Hoppers Crossing office *Please note that during COVID-19 this role will commence remotely, with the view to moving back to the location listed above once restrictions ease.
