Are you someone who enjoys being outside in the garden in the mornings? We are looking for those who love the outdoors to come and help maintain our attractive gardens for our Aged Care Residents.

This volunteer opportunity will support our team with the upkeep and maintenance of our attractive garden areas around the Aged Care Facility - Woodlands Lodge ACF located in the Northern end of the Gold Coast.

As a volunteer at Woodlands Lodge you will be welcomed into a small, friendly team who value reliability and commitment. You will be working from an outside maintenance office and the facility grounds. The workload is light but consistent. Training is provided for the use of all equipment and tools. Morning tea and lunch are provided.

The ideal applicant will be a reliable and active person who enjoys being outside in the garden in the mornings. A cheerful willingness to be part of the team and to contribute to team goals. Be flexible and adaptable in response to adverse weather conditions. This role is well suited for those who enjoy being with and around older people.

Tasks involved include:

• Lawn mowing.
• Light pruning.
• Watering of grounds.
• Mulching
• Planting and maintenance of small plants.
• Removal of garden refuse to tip.

Requirements:

• Some experience or love of gardening is desirable.
• Driver's licence essential.
