GARDENING – Garden Aid Team

Avid gardeners wanted! Do you have a green thumb or want to learn and spend time with those that do? Our Horticulturalists lead Garden Aid Teams who provide minor gardening services to our elderly clients in the Inner West area. Tasks include weeding, pruning, re-potting and generally tidy up’s to ensure safety for our clients.

All tools and equipment needed for the day and morning tea is provided. This position would suit people with all levels of gardening experience, who are reasonably fit and who enjoy the outdoors. Couple and groups encouraged to apply.

You can develop personal connections and make new friends, gain new skills all whilst assisting our trained and experienced Horticulturalists.

The suitable volunteer will have the following attributes: have good communication and listening skills, be reliable, pass a national police check and able to commit to at least 6 months.

Training and Induction will be provided. Inner West Neighbour Aid are mindful and trained to support clients and volunteers with social distancing, health and safety procedures.

Own transport is desired, as locations differ from day to day.
