Community Visitors
Unitingcare Wesley BowdenAbout Us UCWB is a well-respected Community Services organisation with an aspiration to be a leading provider of individual and community social services. Our purpose is to deliver innovative, tailored services that support individual and community well-being. Our focus is vulnerable children and their families, older people, individuals who live with disability, and carers.
About the Role Our Community Visitors are volunteers who visit people who are experiencing, or who are at risk of, social isolation or loneliness. Visits can be in a group at aged care homes or one-on-one at the homes of aged care package recipients. Visitors can just have a cup of tea and a chat, sit together to watch a movie or a sporting game or work or just spend time together. You may also like to be creative and work together on activities like games, craft or reading together.
