Major Donor Manager/ Grant Writer for Innovative PNG NGO

Our ideal candidate would possess the following characteristics:

  • Degree qualified in management, marketing, communications or another related discipline;
  • Previous project management experience with a charity ideal, but not essential
  • Experience working with large and major donors is ideal, but not essential 
  • Exposure to sales and KPI
  • Good communication skills with evidence of an ability to understand and speak clearly to major donors and all key stakeholders. 
  • Ability to balance our voluntary and/or not for profit sector objectives with the need to be commercially sustainable in an ever-changing environment 
  • Good writing skills are essential 
  • Time management to meet deadlines and research grants
  • Previous experience in applying for grants for PNG activities is great but not essential.

This role will focus on putting together and managing applications for local and international grants through organisations such as Australia DFAT, AusAID, NZ High Commission, Canada Fund for Local Initiatives, and others. This role will also involve relationship management with current commercial donors or partners, and the development of new relationships. This position will be working remotely for the foreseeable future, while we work together to prevent transmission of COVID-19 by maintaining physical distancing protocols. Therefore, candidates can be based anywhere globally, as long as they have regular and consistent access to the internet. This position would require a commitment of 5-10 hours per week, depending on candidate's availability and seasonal factors. GSP will provide all volunteers with references for future job applications, and written statements if required.
